Summary:

Quick Transmigration: Game Loading follows the journey of Yu Ming through an apocalyptic game. The game is set in an alternate universe of China which is nearly an exact replica of the real world with the same celebrities. Yu Ming transmigrates into a white lotus** character called Yu Mengjie. Instead of relying on her appearance, she decides to become stronger and gather team members to clear the dungeons within the game.

** White lotus is an archetype of women (mainly) and men that appeals to men because they look like they need protection or are delicate. They tend to be pure, innocent, naive, and look cute when their eyes water.

Review

I would recommend this webnovel to adults who enjoy stories about strong female protagonists, apocalyptic settings, and gaming. This novel is similar in concept to Card Room (卡牌密室(重生)) and I Wasn’t Born Lucky (我不是天生欧皇). An aspect that I most enjoy is the character of Yu Ming. Instead of being scared of the situations within the game, I like how she perseveres to solve mysteries, understand the personalities of her team members, and confront the bosses in the game for rewards. Also, there is a good mix of familiar and unfamiliar ideas. For example, playing Fight the Landlord, Werewolf, and the character of the Pen Fairy. I am excited to continue reading and see what else the author comes up with.
