Ingrid, the White Deer begins by introducing Ingrid Farnese as the White Deer of Elvynee High Society or the Elvynee Deer due to her beauty. When her beauty attracts the attentions of the royal family and they wish to marry her off to another kingdom, Ingrid creates a plan to avoid leaving her family. She decides to convince everyone that she is in a relationship with Duke Regan Espenser, a man known for debauchery, in order to marry him.

Review

I would recommend this book to young adults and adults who enjoy webtoons in any of the genres above or texts with female protagonists. One aspect that stood out to me is how the characters handled their pain. Some romance texts show pain as being fixed as soon as one finds the love of their life. However, in this text, readers will see Regan struggling and failing with his addictions and Ingrid feeling regret after her miscarriage. They both have each other and the support of family members and friends but it is more realistic in the aspect that the characters still have to be active in the healing process.
