Review

I would recommend this book to young adults and adults who are curious about any of the topics mentioned above. I especially appreciate this text for three reasons. First, there is a section dedicated to further reading suggestions. It can be hard to locate resources beyond what is usually taught in health classes. Second, the comic book style of explanation works well for this topic because the shapes and colors balance being able to convey information without feeling like a formal textbook. Lastly, the exchanges between the characters were usually between friends, siblings or partners rather than a teacher or parent lecturing a young adult. This improved my immersion because it reflects realistically whom I would be having these conversations about these topics with. This text is a well-informed starting point for thinking about and starting to normalize discussion about these difficult topics.
