Summary:

Did the Affectionate Love Interest Collapse Today is a cute love story spanning over seven arcs between Lin Ziran and Ji Chen. The seven arcs are three modern worlds, two cultivation** worlds, one alternate ancient China, and the real world. The first six arcs take place through a fantasy gaming software where Lin Ziran aims to practice his acting skills. However, the NPCs in the game do not follow the script and instead, Lin Ziran ends up pursuing his boyfriend, camouflaging as an NPC in the game.

** Cultivation is when characters upgrade their abilities through studying martial arts

Review

I would recommend this text to adults who enjoy quick transmigration novels like Quick Transmigration: Awakened as a Female Partner, cute love stories, or boy-with-boy love stories with great plot. An element that stood out to me was that this is the first novel I have read where the quick transmigration happened through a gaming system rather than through dying. For readers that might be uncomfortable with boy-with-boy love stories but value plot, there are no explicitly sexual descriptions beyond kissing.
