Review

I would recommend this text to parents reading with their children who enjoy texts with characters of colour, comedy, and want to practice French. I appreciated that the words to be emphasized when reading aloud were bolder in colour. It made it easier for reader’s theatre* to happen because I knew I would have to adapt my tone (surprised, shocked, questioning or serious) from the moment I turned the page.

* Reader’s theatre is using vocal expression (ex. tone, volume, pace, pronunciation, pitch, projection) to help the audience better understand the story
